Merional is a pharmaceutical preparation containing human-derived menopausal gonadotropin (hMG), higly purified i.e. a balanced mixture of natural follicle stimulating hormone (hFSH) and luteinizing hormone ( hLH). HMG is a hormonal mixture used to stimulate follicular development in women, and sperm formation and maturation in men, or as replacement therapy in hypogonadic patients.
