Arimidex oral tablets consist of 1mg of Anastrozole (a non-steroidal aromatase inhibitor). It is an anti-cancer drug used for the initial treatment of breast cancer in post-menopausal women. Most breast cancers depend on the hormone estrogen for their growth. After menopause, estrogen production in the ovaries stops, but it continues in the body's fatty tissues.
