Dapoxetine, marketed among others under the names of Priligy and Westoxetin, is a medicine used for the treatment of premature ejaculation in men between 18 and 64 years of age. Dapoxetine works by inhibiting the serotonin transporter, increasing the action of serotonin at the postsynaptic cleft, and therefore promoting ejaculatory delay.

Men between the ages of 18 and 64 should take one Dapoxetine tablet one to three hours before sexual activity.

The recommended starting dose of Priligy is 30 mg. If this is not effective enough, you can increase your dose to 60 mg, but this should only be done if you have not experienced side effects with the lower dose.

You can take the tablet with or without food. Swallow it whole (do not chew or crush it to avoid having a bitter taste) with a full glass of water to minimize the risk of feeling dizzy.
